Bears sign veteran edge rusher, Robert Quinn, to a 5 year, $70 million deal
According to Larry Mayer at chicagobears.com, the Bears have signed Robert Quinn to a 5 year, $70 million deal that includes $30 million guaranteed. It is quite the investment to upgrade the position opposite Khalil Mack. Leonard Floyd’s career in Chicago was disappointing and characterized by injuries and the lack of production. Even Khalil Mack’s presence, which led to ample 1 on 1 opportunities for Floyd, couldn’t significantly increase his level of play in an injury-free season. Even though the former first rounder was heralded for his prowess in stopping the running game and dropping back into coverage, it was not enough for the Bears to resign one of their own. Quinn was a dominant pass rusher for the Cowboys last year and looks to continue that success as a member of the frightening front seven. To learn more about the Quinn signing, click the link above.
